Deepavali Sweets – Soft Badam Halwa

How to make soft Home made Badam Halwa


1 Cup Almonds soaked

1 Cup Sugar

¾ Cup Ghee

¾ Cup Milk

Pinch of salt


Remove the skin from almonds and grind them to a coarse sandy paste adding just a few drops of milk.

Take  a  heavy kadai and add the measured amount of milk and saffron

And in a few minutes add the ground almond paste and stir in

As it cooks add some ghee and then the sugar.

The mixture loosens but keep stirring on medium low flame and add all the ghee little by little.

When the paste starts to pull away from the sides, switch off and allow to cool

Serve warm Badam Halwa!
